Jim Alexander retires from Tohatsu

FARMERS BRANCH, Texas – Jim Alexander, Northeast regional sales manager for Tohatsu Outboards and Nissan Marine Outboards for more than 10 years, has retired effective today, the company said in a statement today.

Steve Van Dyke is replacing him. Van Dyke was the Tohatsu and Nissan Southeast regional sales manager for many years.

Alexander’s knowledge and passion for the industry led to an increase in the number of dealerships within his territory, which contributed to the company’s overall current success.

Van Dyke’s most recent position was as Northeast sales manager for MirroCraft Fishing Boats, Palm Beach and Weeres Pontoon Boats. His sales and strong market experience as well as his past success as Southeast regional sales manager for Tohatsu will prove to be valuable to his new position as the Northeast regional sales manager, according to the company. Van Dyke will be based out of his home office in Milford, Del.

During June, both men will work together in an effort to create a smooth transition within the organization making it easier on the dealerships and consequently, the customers, Tohatsu stated.
