Grand Banks Yachts appoints new president

SEATTLE – Grand Banks Yachts Ltd. has made several promotions and changes within its executive management team, the company said in a statement Wednesday.

The reorganization is designed to better align key roles and responsibilities as the 50-year-old company builds on two years of record sales.

The changes, effective immediately, include Rob Livingston being appointed to company president. Livingston will lead daily operations for Grand Banks. He most recently served as executive vice president and has been with the company for almost eight years.

Peter Poli, the company’s chief financial officer, will assume the additional title of executive vice president. Poli joined Grand Banks Yachts in 2004 and will now oversee the company’s human resources and technology functions in addition to finance.

Other management changes announced include naming Y.P. Wong, general manager of Singapore Operations, to an additional role as chief engineer. Engineering groups at Grand Banks factories in Singapore and Malaysia will report to Wong.

Brent Perry, vice president of quality assurance and after sales service, will now also lead the company’s development group. Perry came to Grand Banks in 2006 with years of design and manufacturing experience at several top boatbuilders, and will serve as vice president of development, quality assurance and service.

“These next few years will see many developments from Grand Banks, in new markets around the world,” said Bob Livingston, CEO and chairman. “This reorganization will ensure that Grand Banks continues to have an executive team in place that is very accomplished and highly motivated to succeed.”
