ADELANTO, Calif. – Cabo Yachts has appointed Jim Renfrow Jr. to vice president of sales and marketing, the company said in a press release yesterday. In his new position, Renfrow will oversee domestic and international sales, global marketing and Cabo’s dealer network. Renfrow replaces Greg Bourque, who has retired after 14 years of service to pursue personal interests.
“Greg Bourque has had a tremendous impact on Cabo’s success over the past decade and will definitely be missed,” said Austin Rothbard, Cabo Yachts president. “Replacing an industry veteran like that is always a challenge, but when you are able to attract a seasoned professional like Jim Renfrow to take the reins, you truly do turn a challenge into an opportunity. Jim has extensive experience in the fishing industry and in the boatbuilding marketplace.”
Prior to joining Cabo, Renfrow was vice president of sales for Fairline Boats of North America, a position he held since 2002. During that time, he oversaw the sales and marketing functions for Fairline and contributed to the brand’s strategic planning. For two years prior to that, he served as a sales manager for Hatteras Yachts. Renfrow also worked as membership director for the American Sportfishing Association, where he developed key relationships within fishing and boating.
“Throughout his career, Jim has built a strong reputation in the industry and shown a commitment to dealer relations and customer service,” Rothbard said. “Those values will serve him well in his new position at Cabo as we continue to grow our business.”
Bourque will remain available to Cabo to assist with product development and marketing strategy matters.
