“Gerry performed brilliantly in all these assignments, earning the respect of customers, employees and shareholders,” the company reported on its Web site. “He set high performance standards for himself and consistently exceeded them. He was the consummate professional and gentleman. His dedication, enthusiasm, concern for others and good humor made him a pleasure to work with. The company’s sound financial position and strong prospects are due in large measure to his exceptional leadership. His loss will be mourned widely and profoundly.”
