Personnel changes for Composites One

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. – Composites One has recently made a number of appointments from within its ranks, the company said in a recent press release last week.

Dwight Baker, currently Composites One Gulf Coast sales manager, will assume West region general manager responsibilities. Baker began his composites industry career in 1992 and held several positions in sales, sales management and project management before joining Composites One in 2005. His focus over the next several months will be to work with the current West region general manager, Don Hairhoger, to transition into his new role. Hairhoger will be moving into the role of senior vice president for Composites One over the next several months.

Composites One has also appointed Andy Krodel to national purchasing manager. Krodel is currently the distribution center manager at the company’s Monessen, Penn., location. Krodel began his career with Composites One in 1997 as an inventory control specialist. He quickly became a DC manager at the Woodstock, Ill., location and then moved to Monessen, Penn., where he helped integrate that facility into the Composites One system.

“Both of these gentlemen have accomplished much in their careers,” said Leon Garoufalis, Composites One president and COO. “That experience combined with their focus on customers and strategic perspective will serve them well in these important positions.”

Baker will eventually relocate to the West region, while Krodel will relocate to the Chicago area, where he will work out of the Composites One corporate office.
