New president appointed at Cabo Yachts

ADELANTO, Calif. – Brunswick Boat Group’s Hatteras Collection has named Austin Rothbard Cabo Yachts president, the company said in a press release yesterday.

Rothbard previously served as vice president of strategy and business development for Brunswick Bowling & Billiards. Rothbard replaces Henry Mohrschladt, Cabo Yachts co-founder, who is retiring after spearheading Cabo’s recent integration into the Hatteras Collection and the Brunswick Boat Group.

“Our good wishes and respect will always be with Henry Mohrschladt, as it was his vision and dedication that have fueled Cabo’s growth over the past ten years, and forged the foundation of this brand,” said Mark Harakal, Hatteras Collection president. “Throughout his career both in and outside of Brunswick, Austin has demonstrated his abilities at blending strategy and operational acumen to grow and strengthen a business.”

Joining Rothbard in the leadership transition is Jay Fuller, who has been named Cabo’s vice president of operations. Fuller transfers to Cabo from Hatteras Yachts, where he had held the same title since 2001. Fuller gained a strong background in manufacturing and plant management through nine years at General Electric before joining Brunswick. Fuller replaces Cabo co-founder Mike Howarth, who is also retiring.
