Midwest dealership chain gets new president
WINTHROP HARBOR, Ill. – Skipper Bud’s and Chicago Sea Ray have promoted Michael Pretasky, Jr. to president, the dealerships said in a press release yesterday.
Pretasky, who has been with the family business for 21 years, will oversee the growth of Skipper Bud’s business in marine retail sales, service and marina development. He most recently served as vice president of Wisconsin operations, managing all aspects including strategy, sales, marketing and customer service for the company’s dealerships in the state. Skipper Bud’s has Wisconsin retail sales and service divisions in Milwaukee, Pewaukee, Madison, Oshkosh and Sturgeon Bay.
Pretasky assumes the role from Dennis Ellerbrock who has been with the company since 1987 and served as president since 1995. Ellerbrock guided the company through the company’s consolidation and the after effects of 9/11. He was instrumental in positioning the company as a leader in the marine industry and will remain with the company and continue to build on these accomplishments as executive vice president.
