Marine Providers brings on new president
MODESTO, Calif. – Capax-Giddings, Corby, Hynes has appointed Barbara Galgiani to president of Capax-Marine Providers, Inc., the company said in a press release Nov. 21.
The Marine Providers subsidiary is a marine insurance specialty division of Capax, a regional insurance agency that has served clients throughout California for more than 100 years.
Galgiani has served as business advisor and resident vice president since joining Capax-Giddings, Corby, Hynes in 1996. She brought 18 years of marine insurance experience with her when she joined the company and used it to establish the marine department.
During the last ten years, the marine unit has grown to become a leading provider in the marine specialty business.
“This appointment recognizes Barbara’s substantial efforts and personal success, acknowledging her contribution building our Marine Providers leadership position in the marine insurance industry,” said Joel Geddes, Jr., Capax chairman and CEO.
