MAC names sourcing director
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Marine Accessories Corp. has hired Steve Brownell to serve in the newly created position of director of strategic sourcing, it recently reported.
Brownell has earned an MBA and has more than 20 years’ experience in global sourcing and procurement, which he gained from a strong multinational corporate background with Owens Corning and Mead, among others. He will focus on offshore sourcing opportunities and coordinate materials purchasing across all seven of MAC’s companies.
“The addition of Steve to our management team is another step in fulfilling our integration strategy at Marine Accessories,” said Rick Reyenger, MAC CEO. “Steve has a great background and proven track record in global sourcing. His immediate focus will be to evaluate our current supplier base and identify opportunities to leverage our entire spend. Steve will be looking for opportunities to contain costs in this volatile commodity environment with the focus on procuring quality materials at the best value for our customers.”
