WoodenBoat Publications promotes Dunbar

BROOKLINE, Maine – WoodenBoat Publications Inc. has promoted Anne Dunbar into a newly created position as associate publisher for sales and marketing, the media company said in a statement yesterday.

Dunbar, who for the past five years has directed the marketing the International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition & Conference, which WoodenBoat Publications and the National Marine Manufacturers Association co-owns, will maintain her role with the trade show while taking on the responsibilities of supervising the advertising sales for WoodenBoat and Professional BoatBuilder magazines and the exhibit sales for the annual WoodenBoat Show.

Dunbar will be working closely with publisher Carl Cramer to enhance the company’s efforts to promote boating and to provide the marine trade with necessary information and technologies.

“I’ve enjoyed my work with IBEX for years, and I’m proud to contribute further to the industry by branching out with WoodenBoat Publications,” Dunbar said. “I believe in the value of the magazines and the events, and I want to help increase their impacts on the consumer and trade industries.”

In addition to her work with IBEX, Dunbar also managed the marketing for Professional BoatBuilder‘s smaller U.S. shows, IBEX U and ProBoat Events. Prior to beginning her career with WoodenBoat Publications in 2001, Dunbar was an advertising sales representative for both Boating Industry magazine and Soundings Trade Only magazine.
