MRAA appoints new board members

OAK PARK, Ill. – There have been two changes to the Marine Retailers Association of America’s board of directors, the organization said in a statement yesterday.

Lake Viking Marine owner Larry Tague has stepped forward to take the Region 8 directorship, due to Glencove Marine’s Ron Thompson passing away. Region 8 includes Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska and Wyoming.

Tague was serving as an MRAA at-large director. He is also a member of the Kansas City Marine Dealers Association, the Missouri Marine Dealers Association, the Cobalt Sales Council and the Volvo Penta Sales Council.

Glenn Mazzella, MRAA chairman, appointed Alan Bohling, Seattle Boat Co. CEO, to fill the unexpired at-large directorship Tague vacated.

Bohling is the Northwest Marine Trades Association chairman of the board, a Grow Boating Inc. board member, a Rotary International member and is a Rotary Paul Harris Fellow, past Cobalt 20 Group chair and Thunderbird Little League board member.

“I’m please to have these two highly qualified and distinguished members of the recreational boating industry helping us make decisions for MRAA,” said Phil Keeter, MRAA president.
