ZNA president named to non-profit board

STEVENSVILLE, Md. – Zodiac of North America President and CEO JJ. Marie has been appointed to the Association for Rescue at Sea board, the company said in a statement Tuesday. AFRAS is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing support to voluntary lifeboat services all over the world.

“AFRAS does extremely important work to raise public awareness of the vital role voluntary organizations play in saving lives at sea,” Marie said. “Like AFRAS, Zodiac is committed to supporting those who risk their lives at sea in order to save those in distress. It is an honor for me to be a member of this board.”

“JJ. Marie’s appointment to AFRAS will certainly raise the group’s profile,” said retired Coast Guard Vice Adm. Roger Rufe Jr., AFRAS chairman. “He joins a group of marine professionals who have dedicated their time to make sure those voluntary rescue organizations get the equipment, materials, support and attention they deserve.”
