Boating Industry Intelligence You Can Profit From
CLEVELAND – Key Recreation Lending, a division of KeyBank NA, has hired a new manager for its luxury yacht lending division, the company said in a press release Wednesday.
Sandra Ewing will be responsible for building relationships with manufacturers, brokers, designers, dealers, owners and others in the California yacht market. She will also help create and monitor products specific for the yachting market, including permanent, retail and bridge loans. Ewing will be based in Los Angeles.
Ewing has more than 25 years experience in the yacht-financing field. For the past five years, she has been in charge at Pacific Yacht Finance, Inc. Prior to that, Ewing helped establish the yacht financing office for Essex Credit on the West Coast; was instrumental in establishing the West Coast yacht financing office for Maryland National Bank; and was part of the team that set up the San Diego-area Wells Fargo Bank’s boat loan-lending program.
“California is a key market in the yachting industry and opening an office here is part of our growth strategy into this specialized financing sector,” said Jim Velez, KRL Luxury Yacht Lending’s vice president and manager. “Sandra is highly experienced and well-known throughout the California yacht market. Her industry knowledge and background will help us to fulfill our business goals here and provide the best experience for our clients.”
