Brunswick names new Hatteras Collection president
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The Brunswick Boat Group has appointed Mark Harakal to Hatteras Collection president, it reported in a recent statement.
Harakal, who most recently served as Hatteras Yachts president, will now have expanded operational responsibilities for all three brands represented in the collection: Albemarle Boats, Cabo Yachts and Hatteras Yachts. Harakal will succeed William Naumann, who recently retired. Harakal will report to Peter Hamilton, Brunswick Boat Group president.
“Mark is extremely well positioned to lead the Hatteras Collection,” Hamilton said. “He will continue Bill Naumann’s excellent progress in further expanding Brunswick’s presence in the offshore sportfishing and luxury cruising markets.”
In addition to his recent position as president, Harakal had also served as executive vice president of operations at Hatteras Yachts. During his tenure, he successfully led key initiatives to strengthen and streamline engineering, manufacturing and quality assurance functions.
Prior to joining Hatteras Yachts, Harakal held senior leadership positions with Witco, Air Products and Union Carbide. Scott “Scotty” Harrell Jr., Albemarle Boats president, and Henry Mohrschladt, Cabo Yachts president, will both report to Harakal, as will the executive staff at Hatteras Yachts.
