Grow Boating hires dealer certification manager

CHICAGO – Grow Boating has hired Elizabeth McAllister as dealer certification program manager, where she will assist with all aspects of coordinating and maintaining the Marine Industry Dealership Certification Program, Grow Boating said in a press release Wednesday. She is based in Chicago.

“Liz’s background in program management relates directly to the needs of this vital industry program,” said Thom Dammrich, National Marine Manufacturers Association president. “She is a welcome addition to the industry effort.”

“The timing for bringing Liz onboard is ideal, as current program enrollments already have more than 250 dealers registered, and the planning for fall sessions is about to begin,” said Phil Keeter, Marine Retailers Association of America president.

McAllister comes to Grow Boating from Chicago Cares Inc., where she most recently served as program manager for children’s education and development. As program manager, she was responsible for ensuring approximately 20 volunteer programs’ success, recruiting and training program volunteers, budgetary management and overall program evaluation.

As dealer certification program manager, McAllister will act as a liaison with marine industry partners to promote and advance dealer and manufacturer acceptance of and participation in the Marine Industry Dealership Certification Program. She will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of the program, as well as related promotional events and industry outreach efforts. McAllister will be the primary contact for dealers and manufacturers interested in the dealership certification program as it moves forward.
