Steyr Motors North America appoints new president
FRANKSVILLE, Wis. – Russell Polansky has been appointed president of Steyr Motors North America, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Steyr Motors, GmbH, Steyr, Austria, the company reported in a recent statement.
Polansky has overall responsibility for all business activities of Steyr Motors in North America, with a primary focus on the marine industry. All of Steyr’s North American highway, military and governmental business activities will also be handled through Polansky’s office.
Polansky has 20 years of experience in the marine industry, including management positions with Hurth America, Twin Disc, Inc. and ZF North American operations. He was most recently manager of operations of ZF Marine Electronics.
Steyr Motors is a worldwide supplier of lightweight diesel engines for marine and commercial applications, and has now established distributor operations in the United States.
