Tigé creates manufacturing manager position

ABILENE, Texas – Tigé Boats has recently appointed Rick Correll to the position of manufacturing manager, it reported in a statement today.

This newly created position reflects the company’s aggressive growth, recently expanded production capacity and Tigé’s continued commitment to optimum product quality, according to the company.

“… Tigé will continue to bolster its staff with experienced personnel to continue to meet the needs of our consumers,” Tom Austin, vice president of manufacturing, said. “Placing Rick in this position will enhance product quality and the phenomenal demand for our boats.”

Within this position, Correll will be charged with overseeing the entire manufacturing process, from mold preparation to final finish. Within each stage, he will work with the assembly department and lamination department managers to ensure that each station is working at its maximum potential.

With over 20 years of experience in the marine industry, Correll has worked at every level of the manufacturing process for some of the largest manufacturers in the marine industry, the boat builder reported. Correll has been involved with developing innovative ideas that have resulted in several patents within the industry.

“Rick has a solid background in marine manufacturing and he also has experience in the support industries as well,” Austin said. “His responsibilities are 100 percent focused on producing the highest quality boat on the water, and he has the experience and drive to see that through.”

“I believe the level of experience I have will enable me to bring a level of expertise to this position and will only add to Tigé’s growing marketplace strength,” Correll explained. “Having been in hundreds of factories over the years, it is so special to see how excited and focused the people at Tigé are. People work hard on a product they truly care about and are constantly looking towards the future.”
