Century Boats undergoes personnel changes

PANAMA CITY, Fla. – Century Boat Company, Inc. recently hired Jill Prestridge as its new marketing manager, and promoted Bill Faulk to its sales logistics and transportation coordinator, the company said in a statement yesterday.

Prestridge joins Century with more than ten years of marine industry experience. She began her career as a retail advertising supervisor for The News-Star in Monroe, La. From 1996-2001, she was an account supervisor with Monroe-based French Creative Group, where she was responsible for the development of several award-winning marketing campaigns for Skeeter Boats and G3.

In 2002, Prestridge obtained an education degree, and began teaching business and computer classes at Grand Prairie High School where she earned honors as the 2004-2005 Grand Prairie District Teacher of the Year. From 2001-2003, Prestridge served in a freelance capacity coordinating annual dealer meetings for Skeeter Boats, and from 2002-2006, she coordinated dealer meetings for Century.

In her new position as Century marketing manager, Prestridge will be responsible for the overall brand direction of Century.

Faulk has been with the company since May 1998 after spending 20 years in the U.S. Navy as a weapons officer. Faulk joined the company as safety, facility, maintenance and security manager. In 1999, he moved into Century’s transportation department.

In his new position, Faulk will be a liaison for Century’s dealer network and area sales representatives, coordinating sales with the production and transportation of the company’s boat line.
