Bank of America names new marine client manager

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Verdell Hillman has joined Bank of America’s Dealer Financial Services group as senior client manager for recreational boat manufacturers across the United States, the company said in a statement yesterday.

In his new role, Hillman represents a team of financial, product and industry experts who leverage Bank of America’s resources to meet the financial needs of boat manufacturers and dealers in the marine industry.

“[Hillman] brings a wealth of industry knowledge and is ideally suited to fill this role, which is a new one we have created in response to the growth and increasing importance of our manufacturer relations,” said John Fulmer, national sales executive for recreational vehicle, marine and motorcycle.

Hillman has 42 years of experience in dealer financing, including lengthy tenures with General Motors Acceptance Corporation, Borg-Warner Acceptance Corporation and Brunswick Corporation. He comes to Bank of America from Genmar Holdings, Inc., where he had worked since 1999 and was most recently vice president of credit and dealer development.

Hillman will be based out of his home in Stanwood, Wash., just north of Seattle.
