Edson names new vice president
NEW BEDFORD, Mass. – Edson International has promoted Ed Stiess to vice president of sales for the company’s marine division, Edson said in a statement yesterday.
Since joining the company in 1998, Stiess had been a customer service manager. In his new position, Stiess will oversee the direction of Edson’s marine sales force and will report directly to Will Keene, Edson’s president.
“Ed’s knowledge of all aspects of the marine industry, as well as his technical background have been invaluable to Edson,” Keene said. “In his new position, we’re confident that Ed will help us provide our customers with a higher level of commitment and attention.”
Before joining Edson, Stiess was a customer service manager at TPI. He was also the operations manager at Bend Boat Basin in Portsmouth, R.I. from 1982 to 1987 and has more than 30 years of experience in the marine industry.
