New LEMTA board elected

CLEVELAND – The Lake Erie Marine Trades Association elected officers and trustees for 2006 at the recent Cleveland Mid-America Boat Show, according to a statement from the organization yesterday.

Bruce Roberts, owner of Harbor North in Huron, Ohio, replaces Dave Gerber of Monroeville Marine in Monroeville, Ohio, as LEMTA chairman.

“It’s been a real joy serving the association this past year,” Gerber said. “Bruce, not to mention our new incoming president, Ken Alvey, are in store for an exciting 2006 thanks in large part to the upcoming Grow Boating initiative.”

Officers for 2006 are as follows:

  • Chairman, Bruce Roberts, Harbor North (Huron, Ohio)
  • 1st Vice Chairman, Tom Solberg, Huron Lagoons Marina (Huron, Ohio)
  • 2nd Vice Chairman, Bob Faflik, Marinas International (Sandusky, Ohio)
  • Secretary, John Clemons, Clemons Boats (Sandusky, Ohio)
  • Treasurer, Bill Schaeffer, Beaver Park Marina (Lorain, Ohio)
  • Trustees elected to two-year terms:

  • Jim Armington, Buckeye Sports Center (Peninsula, Ohio)
  • Bob Lieblein, Holiday Harbor Marina (Huron, Ohio)
  • John Sima, Sima Marine (Port Clinton, Ohio)
