Marine Movers – Jeppesen Marine makes four executive appointments
ENGLEWOOD, Colo. – Jeppesen’s recently launched marine business unit has appointed four executives to oversee its recreational and commercial marine market segments, the company reported in a statement today.
Michael Neal has assumed the position of director, marine business development. Neal is responsible for business development activities across all Jeppesen Marine market segments, including the commercial marine segment. Responsibilities also include long-term strategy development, new product research, mergers, acquisitions and more.
Shepard Tucker has been promoted to general manager and will oversee Jeppesen’s recreational marine operations. Tucker will have full profit and loss responsibility for the Nobeltec line of products, and he will also be tasked with executing business plans and long-term growth within this market segment. Tucker was previously a manager responsible for Nobletec’s sales and marketing efforts. He is an avid recreational boater.
John Horner is new to the Jeppesen team and brings with him over 30 years of experience and knowledge in international blue water shipping operations. He has also served in executive-level positions within the financial and investment banking industries. Horner is responsible for the blue water business programs within the commercial marine market.
Kelly Cottingham has joined Jeppesen as the marketing manager — commercial inland waterways and will lead the commercial marine brown water market development initiatives. Cottingham brings to the position 20+ years experience in technology/manufacturing-based global product management, market development, sales and marketing. He will focus on bringing to the commercial marine market electronic navigation solutions tailored to commercial inland waterways. Cottingham is originally from Seattle and is a long-time recreational boater.
Jeppesen Marine said it intends to bring proven technologies and solutions from the aviation markets to marine markets.
