Marine Mover – Walker Bay Boats names new VP of North American Sales
UNION GAP, Wash. – Walker Bay Boats Inc. has appointed Dirk Boehmer to vice president of North American sales, the company reported in a recent statement.
As vice president, he oversees the growing sales team throughout North America and the Caribbean and reports to the President, Andrew Taylor.
“Dirk has shown his strong abilities to grow a cohesive team of highly motivated sales people,” said Taylor. “With the launch of our new RIB fleet in 2006, we are positioning the team to handle an increase in demand.”
As general sales manager for Walker Bay for the last two years, Boehmer led the company to its current position in the hard shell tender market. The next step for Boehmer is to repeat the company’s success in the small recreational RIB arena, according to Walker Bay Boats.
Prior to working at Walker Bay Boats, Boehmer was International Sales Manager for Sea Ray Boats and has been working in the marine industry since the late eighties. He has a degree in Business Administration from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA from the University of Tennessee.
