Marine Mover – Defender appoints director of boats and motors division

WATERFORD, Conn. – Jeff Going has been appointed director of Boats and Motors at Defender Industries, announced Vice President Stephan Lance in a recent statement.

Going has over 25 years experience with inflatable boats and liferafts, most recently as a sales manager and trainer with Zodiac of North America, according to Defender. He will manage one of Defender’s fastest growing market segments, with a heightened focus on sales and service of inflatable boats, outboard motors, trailers and kayaks.

“Jeff is a welcome addition to the Defender Management Team,” stated Lance. “His depth of experience and expertise in this product category and in the marine industry will help Defender continue to realize growth and increase customer satisfaction.”

Going is an avid lifelong boater and lives with his family in Essex, Conn. He has played an active role in developing the standards set by the National Marine Manufacturers Association for certification of inflatable boats, is accredited by the American Boat & Yacht Council, and was chairman of the Essex Harbor Management Commission for the last 14 years, Defender reported.
