Marine Mover – Curomax names new vice president
TORONTO – Curomax has appointed Debbie Oberender as its marketing and corporate communications vice president, the company said in a statement yesterday. She will be responsible for the development and management of the company’s overall branding, marketing communication, advertising and customer-facing events.
Oberender joins Curomax from Bank of America Specialty Group, which serves the recreational vehicle and marine industries, where she was marketing and communication director. She also worked in various marketing and communication capacities within Bank of America Dealer Financial Services Group with a focus on the automotive dealer industry.
“We brought Debbie on board to further enhance our U.S. auto, marine and RV initiatives, which is a perfect fit for us because of her proven success with Bank of America,” said Alan Bird, Curomax president and CEO. “Her established relationships and knowledge of the industry position our company well and I look to Debbie to play an integral role in the future growth of Curomax.”
Oberender brings more than 20 years of marketing experience to the Curomax team, having worked additionally for Westinghouse Defense as well as serving on various industry committees including current memberships in both the Recreational Vehicle Dealers Association and Recreation Vehicle Industry Association.
