Marine Mover – Time4 Media announces staff changes

NEW YORK – Stephen Roche has been named brand director at the Time4 Media Marine Group, according to a statement from the company August 8.

In the newly-created position, Roche will be charged with developing multi-media branding campaigns for Time4 Media’s three marine group magazines and multi-tiered programs for the magazines’ advertisers. His first project will be spearheading the marketing and positioning strategy for Motor Boating, as the 98-year-old title prepares for a redesign this fall.

“Steve is a magazine marketing pro with outstanding marine industry experience and a proven track record of building programs for enthusiast titles and their clients,” said John Young, president and group publisher of the marine group. “He is a key new addition to our team, and we are pleased to welcome him to the marine group.”

Roche joins Time4 Media from the Primedia Outdoors Group, where he served as director of marketing services for 17 consumer titles. He was also responsible for marketing and promotions for the group’s five television shows and two network radio programs. Previously, he was director of marketing for Power & Motoryacht magazine, also a Primedia property. Prior to his tenure at Primedia, Roche was promotion manager at American Baby and Healthy Kids, and associate promotion director at Family Media.

Roche earned his Bachelor’s degree from Saint Bonaventure University, and will soon complete his Master’s in communications at Fordham University. He lives in New York.

Young also announced the following staff changes at Time4 Media:
Terry Jacome has been promoted to the post of advertising director of special projects. Most recently, Jacome was European sales manager, responsible for charter, brokerage and European yacht business advertising for Time4 Media’s three marine group titles. In this newly-created position, Jacome will lead sales efforts for several new group-wide initiatives, to be announced in the coming months.

Troy Jensen has joined the marine group’s Los Angeles office as Western advertising sales representative. Previously, Jensen was advertising manager at RPM Communications. He was also advertising manager at Primedia, responsible for a group of ten national motorcycle magazines, and served as advertising sales executive for the New Times, the 3rd largest newspaper in Los Angeles. Jensen is a graduate of Pepperdine University.
