Marine Mover – Eric Linde and North River Boats to produce television show

ROSEBURG, Ore. – Eric Linde, a Northwest fishing guide, will host and promote a nationally broadcast television show, “Waters Less Traveled,” managed by Just Ad Water, a North River Boats-owned marketing and advertising company, according to a statement from the company today. The show will focus on fisheries in the Northwest, with an educational twist.

Linde is the owner and guide of Linde’s Sport Fishing Guide Service out of Vancouver, Wash. He is also the executive director of Northwest Charity Tournaments, which raises funds for Northwest fisheries. Effective November 1, 2005, Linde will be based at Portland Performance Marine and will be the host of “Waters Less Traveled,” as well as the political spokesperson for North River Boats. Eric will maintain all of his charity and fundraising duties.

Linde brings with him 18 years of experience in the fishing industry. He spends an average of 200 days a year fishing, with 90 percent of that time spent on the Columbia River and its major tributary streams. Linde has a vast knowledge of fisheries from all over the Northwest, specializing in salmon, steelhead and sturgeon fishing on the Columbia River.

Over the next four months, Linde is shooting four pilot episodes for Just Ad Water. “Waters Less Traveled” is slated for debut in January 2006 on a nationally syndicated outdoor network. Episodes for the first season will include guest John Keizer of Salmon University, a blue shark fishing excursion off the coast of California, visits from former NFL players and more. Topics range from landing a sturgeon on the Columbia to understanding some of the most debated fisheries topics facing the fishing industry.

Sponsors of “Waters Less Traveled” currently include Yamaha Motor Corporation, North River Boats, Almar Boats, Columbia Sportswear, Pabst Blue Ribbon and five North River dealerships in the Northwest. Production and editing of the show is being done by Big Ya Productions.
