ADAIRSVILLE, Ga. – Yanmar Marine USA Corp. has appointed Andy Prietz manager of customer support services, the company reported in a recent statement.
In this role, Prietz will supervise warranty administration, policy and distributor and OEM technical support.
Prietz comes to Yanmar with 17 years of experience in the marine industry. He previously managed the customer relations department at Tiara Yachts and worked in the engineering and customer service departments at Crusader Engines.
“My new position with Yanmar falls in line with what I’ve done for the last17 years,” Prietz said. “Having experience on both the engine and boat manufacturing sides of the industry will help me provide exceptional support for our customers, distributors and dealers.”
Prietz wants to provide technical support for distributors and dealers so they have the tools to respond to customer needs in a timely fashion, according to the company. He also intends to streamline and improve the company’s current warranty claim system.
