Marine Mover – MasterCraft welcomes two design engineers

VONORE, Tenn. – MasterCraft Boat Co. has added two design engineers, Daniel Vieira and Joshua Sauer, to its research, design and development department, the company reported in a recent statement.

“MasterCraft’s growth strategy hinges on out-of-the-box design and the successful manufacturing of these new boats,” said Scott Wood, MasterCraft’s director of engineering. “Having guys like Daniel and Joshua on the team will help ensure MasterCraft’s bright future.”

Vieira brings a background in design, holding a Bachelor’s Degree and several hours toward a Masters Degree from Savannah College of Art and Design. Having formerly operated his own company, Vieira is familiar with the steps necessary to get an idea to the marketplace and is well-versed in product design, development, marketing, branding and overall strategy.

“I have always desired to work for a company that embraces creativity, has a great team dynamic and encourages both personal and business growth,” Vieira said. “MasterCraft undoubtedly fits the bill and I am glad to be here.”

Sauer brings a B.S.E. in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the University of Michigan to MasterCraft. Sauer’s skills include 3D and solid modeling, cost estimating, bill of materials creation and vessel layout including machinery, interior and topsides. Sauer has worked for the Elliot Bay Design Group, CSC Advanced Marine Center and The Hinckley Company.
