Marine Mover: MarineMax appoints three

MarineMax has announced the promotion of three of its employees. Daryl Attaway has been named store manager of the company’s Arlington, Texas dealership; Kyle Langbehn has been promoted to sales manager of the MarineMax dealership in Clearwater; and Ed Meyers has been named business manager of the MarineMax Clearwater dealership.

Attaway will work to ensure that members of the Arlington team work together to deliver the boating dream to MarineMax customers, according to the announcement. A chemical engineer by trade, Attaway has been an avid boater for years. He joined the MarineMax Lewisville team in September 2004 as a sales consultant and has enjoyed much success since his change of careers.

Langbehn will oversee the Clearwater dealership’s sales team and will work to ensure that MarineMax continues to exceed customer sales experience expectations, according to the release. With an undergraduate degree from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, and an M.B.A. from George Washington University, Langbehn brings significant marine and management experience with him to his new position. After nine years in the Navy’s Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station, Langbehn worked in consulting management before joining the MarineMax team in April 2002 as a sales consultant.

Meyers will work with customers and sales consultants to complete the financial function of the sales process and coordinate delivery. Meyers has been a member of the MarineMax team since July 1999. He has worked for the company in a number of roles including sales manager, business manager, and, most recently, store manager of MarineMax Tampa. Prior to working for MarineMax, Meyers worked in the financial industry. He earned a degree in finance and management from Temple University.
