Marine Mover – Watercraft World names new editor
CARSON, Calif. – Steve Dye has joined the Ehlert Boating Media Group as editor of WaterCraft World magazine, the company reported earlier this week.
Dye, who will be based in Ehlert’s Carson, Calif., office, comes to WaterCraft World with a wealth of knowledge in the personal watercraft (PWC) and power sports industries.
Most recently, Dye was director of media development for Parts Unlimited and Drag Specialties, and was formerly the publisher and editor-in-chief of Motorcycle Product News magazine.
“We are delighted to welcome Steve aboard,” said Wiley Poole, group publisher of the Ehlert Boating Media Group. “He brings with him great experience, energy and enthusiasm for the PWC lifestyle.”
A third-generation motorcycle racer and fourth-generation waterskier, Dye has a long-term passion for personal watercraft and boating. He is an avid outdoor and action sports enthusiast with an affinity for handlebars and horsepower.
“Personal watercraft riding and racing combines the speed and excitement of motorcycling with the epic images of surf, ski, and board sports,” said Dye. “I’m looking forward to capturing the visual and visceral appeal of a sport that is again on the rise, and deliver it to the many readers of Watercraft World – and I’ve been one of those readers for over 10 years.”
