Marine Movers – International Paint overhauls executive team

NEWCASTLE, U.K. – International Paint has made significant changes to its executive team over the new year period, the company reported in a recent statement.

Following Tony Britt’s move to one of Akzo Nobel’s Asian businesses, Neil Plowman has now been appointed general manager for International Paint’s Yacht business globally.

In this role, Plowman oversees the entire yacht coatings sub-business unit, which operates in all yachting markets around the world, through the International, Interlux and Awlgrip brands.

Plowman, who has worked for International Paint for 17 years, steps into this new role after spending the last four years leading the European business to a string of record-breaking years, according to the company.

In a related appointment, Doug Holmberg will take over the position of general manager, Yacht Europe as of Feb. 1. In this role, he will be responsible for the yacht sub-business unit’s International-branded business in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
