Marine Mover – Reichhold names distribution manager
RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – Kevin C. Downing has been named distribution manager for Reichhold, Inc.’s composites business in North America, the company reported in a release yesterday.
In this role, Downing will manage relationships with the company’s network of composites distributors in the U.S. and Canada.
Downing joined Reichhold in 1998 as a salesman. Since that time, he has managed a composites sales territory in the Midwest including parts of Illinois and Indiana.
A 14-year veteran of the composites industry, Downing began his career with Cargill Resin Products (which later became McWhorter) in 1990, working first in quality control. His career has included a variety of roles including resin development, technical service and a year in customer service. Downing managed a Midwest sales territory for three years just prior to joining Reichhold.
“Kevin’s background in manufacturing, technical service, customer service and sales gives him a unique perspective on the needs of customers and distributors,” said Kathryn Payne, Reichhold senior advisor for composites in North America. “We look forward to his work with our distribution network and strengthening a very important part of Reichhold’s business.”
