Marine Mover – Trimble names CFO

SUNNYVALE, Calif. – GPS and mobile communications manufacturer Trimble has named Rajat Bahri as its chief financial officer, the company reported in a release today.

Bahri brings over 15 years of experience in a broad range of significant finance roles at Kraft Foods and General Foods. He will be responsible for Trimble’s worldwide finance operations including accounting, external reporting, tax, treasury and investor relations. Mark Harrington, who has served as interim CFO, will return to his role as vice president of strategy and business development upon Bahri’s start date in mid-January, the company said.

“Raj’s experience and personality closely fit the profile we established when we launched our search. In particular, we were looking for senior management capabilities that will enable us to manage Trimble’s growth,” said Steven W. Berglund, Trimble’s president and CEO. “In addition to excellent technical financial skills, Raj’s background includes a strong operational emphasis. He has extensive experience managing within a large-scale environment that includes international operations, product line diversity, demanding cost management, and a complex market structure.”

At Kraft, Bahri served in a variety of senior finance roles, both in the United States and abroad, including senior financial officer of several multi-billion dollar operations. Most recently, Bahri was the chief financial officer for Kraft Canada, Inc., a division in Kraft’s second largest operating country. Bahri holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Delhi and an MBA from Duke University.
