Zodiac president to help guide USCG and NSW foundations

STEVENSVILLE, Md. – Zodiac of North America President and CEO JJ. Marie has been appointed vice president of the Coast Guard Foundation and a director of the Naval Special Warfare Foundation, the company said in a press release yesterday.

“The Coast Guard Foundation and Naval Special Warfare Foundation provide an invaluable service to the men and women of America’s armed forces,” Marie said. “I am honored that they have selected me to help guide these organizations. I also look forward to strengthening our efforts to increase public awareness about these important causes.”

The Coast Guard Foundation is a public nonprofit organization that supports the morale and education needs of the men and women of the U.S. Coast Guard and Coast Guard Academy not met through traditional governmental and military funding sources. Marie will help develop the group’s nationwide programs and increase public awareness.

As a director of the Naval Special Warfare Foundation, Marie lends his expertise to the overall management of the organization and development of national programs.

NSWF works in partnership with the UDT-SEAL Association, the national organization of the U.S. Navy Frogmen and SEALs. NSWF provides scholarship grants to the children and families of Navy SEALs, including those who have lost husbands and fathers in the fight against terrorism. It also supports the Navy SEALs community with health and welfare programs.

In addition to scholarship programs, NSWF provides educational resources, professional training, and health and financial assistance to the families of naval commandos.
