Marine Mover – National Boat Digest hires Midwest sales manager

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – National Boat Digest has hired Steve Sassi as its Midwest Sales Manager, the magazine reported in a recent press release.

Sassi will be based in Chicago and is responsible for sales and business development in parts of Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Indiana and Missouri.

Sean O’Leary and George Sass Jr. recently purchased the magazine, and efforts are underway for a re-launch of the 21-year old title starting with the February issue. Design and editorial tweaking began with the December issue. The company also plans to announce new additions to the editorial staff shortly.

“Steve will be instrumental in driving sales in our key growth areas as we expand our reach throughout the Great Lakes,” said O’Leary, the magazine’s publisher. “The sales development programs in these states will mirror our circulation initiatives as well.”
