Boating Industry Intelligence You Can Profit From
NEW BERN, N.C. – Hatteras Yachts has hired Mark Harakal to the newly created position of executive vice president of operations, and David Glenn as its regional sales manager, the company reported in a release this morning.
Harakal joins Hatteras after having held senior management positions with Union Carbide, Air Products and Chemicals, and Witco Chemical – now Crompton Corp.
“Mark Harakal will bring a valuable perspective and skill set to facilitate growth within our organization,” said Bill Naumann, Hatteras president and CEO. “In his new position, Mark will provide leadership to Hatteras’ manufacturing, construction management, engineering and product development teams.”
Glenn will coordinate the sales efforts for a significant portion of Hatteras’ dealer network, including the Mid-Atlantic, Gulf Coast and Caribbean. He comes to Hatteras after serving as marketing director for Pursuit Boats for the past eight years. Prior to that, Glenn spent three years in advertising sales for World Publications.
“David Glenn brings with him instant credibility,” said Jan Boone, Hatteras vice president of sales. “He has a strong background in our industry, a genuine passion for fishing and a proven track record in sales and marketing. We expect great things from him.”
