Marine Mover – Offshore magazine selects new editor

NORTH QUINCY, Mass. – Offshore magazine has named Darrell Nicholson as its new editor, replacing Betsy Haggerty who had been editor since 1995 and will continue to write for the publication, the company reported in a release today.

Nicholson was a senior editor at Cruising World magazine, and is a career journalist with a lifelong passion for fishing and sailing. Offshore magazine is published by Offshore Communications, Inc. and is based in North Quincy, Mass.

“I have great respect for Betsy and the crew at Offshore, and look forward to helping steer a magazine that has truly come of age during Betsy’s tenure,” Darrell said.

Nicholson has won a number of awards from Boating Writers International for his destination features, environmental stories, boat tests and gear reviews.
