Marine Movers – BellPort Group hires manager for Mexican marina

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. – The Bellport Group, a California-based marina management company, has hired two key staff members at its new Marina CostaBaja project in La Paz, Baja California, Mexico, the company reported in a recent statement.

Gabriel Ley has been hired as the new marina manager – coming to BellPort from Ensenada Cruiseport Village – and Guadalupe (Lupita) Morales is CostBaja’s new marina administrator.

Ley increased occupancy of the Ensenada Cruiseport Village by working with brokers, yacht clubs, tax attorneys and Mexican authorities to bring U.S. boaters south of the border, according to BellPort.

Morales has over 10 years experience in the marina business with the last four years as dock master in another marina in the vicinity. He specializes in customer service issues and coordination of special events for boaters.

“We’re very excited to have Gabriel and Lupita aboard,” said Richard S. Stevens, CEO and president of BellPort. “We’re counting on them to work through the tough logistics of opening and filling a new marina and I know we have picked the right team.”

Marina CostaBaja offers 250 slips with concrete docks, a portion of which are designated for mega yachts.
