Marine Movers – Walker Bay promotes two as company expands scope
UNION GAP, Wash. – Walker Bay Boats Inc. has promoted Bobbi Ferguson to vice-president of production & technology and June McPherson to export sales, the company said in a statement yesterday.
The appointments come in response to the company stepping up into new markets and expanding the depth of its technologies, Walker Bay reported in its release.
“Both Ms. Ferguson and Ms. McPherson have played important roles in the company’s past success and with their knowledge of our product and industry it’s a natural progression for them to move up and take on more responsibilities,” said Andrew Taylor, president of Walker Bay. “I have great confidence in our team, and look forward to seeing the results.”
Ferguson brings 30 years of experience in manufacturing with companies such as Rain Bird and Rockwell International. She is responsible for all production including the introduction of new products into manufacturing utilizing the latest technologies and processes that will assist in meeting quality, cost, and manufacturing objectives.
McPherson has been with Walker Bay for four years as customer service manager, and her goal now is to substantially increase international market share. McPherson works closely with the president and the Walker Bay Europe office to set-up dealers and sales networks in new countries. In addition, she is responsible for increasing sales in existing markets by creating strong support programs that make it easy to sell Walker Bay products.
