Genmar appoints new senior VP and CFO

MINNEAPOLIS – Genmar Holdings, Inc. has appointed David J. Huls as its senior vice president and chief financial officer, effective Aug. 15, the company said in statement yesterday. Huls assumes this role from the company’s previous CFO, Roger R. Cloutier, II.

Huls has served as a managing director of Hidden Creek Industries, an industrial management company based in Minneapolis, which manages a portfolio of companies on behalf of a several investor groups, Prior to joining Hidden Creek, Huls was a manager in the audit and business advisory group of Arthur Andersen LLP.

“We are very pleased to welcome Dave to Genmar,” said Cloutier. “Dave’s experiences working with the automotive and heavy truck supply base have given him a good working knowledge of the challenges that are faced by these companies in continually striving to provide the highest quality products at the lowest possible costs. I believe these experiences will allow Dave to be a meaningful contributor to Genmar’s efforts to achieve these same objectives.”
