Marine Mover – Pursuit Boats hires Reed director of Human Resources

FORT PIERCE, Fla. – Pursuit Boats has appointed Doug Reed as its director of Human Resources, where he will be responsible for retention and recruitment of the 250 employees currently building Pursuit’s line of sport fishing boats, the company said recently.

Reed has managed the human resources function for the past thirteen years for manufacturing companies that supply the automobile industry, Federal Mogul, and Hayes Lemmerz International. He previously worked for S2 Yachts in Holland, Mich., as manager of employment and employee relations.

“It is a real pleasure to have Doug return to our company,” said Pursuit founder and CEO, Leon Slikkers. “Doug did an exceptional job for us in the early 90s and the experience he gained in the automobile industry will be a real advantage for improving our workforce.”
