Marine Movers – Doyle adds two to superyacht team

MARBLEHEAD, Mass. – Doyle Sailmakers has added two superyacht experts to the Doyle Superyacht Team. Quinten (Quinny) Houry has joined the company as superyacht project manager and Tom Miller as superyacht salesman, the company said.

Quinny has 20 years of superyacht sailmaking and grand prix racing experience, and brings an expertise in auto CAD and sail design programs. He has specialized in developing downwind sails for Swans and other high-end cruising yachts as a sail designer for System Sails, Diamond Sails, and North Sails. For the last eight years he served as the designer and production and project manager for superyacht sails for Vela 2000 before bringing those skills to Doyle.

Miller’s background in large yachts comes from his previous position as sales director for Derecktor Shipyards, where he represented the firm’s three shipyards around the world and supervised special projects. Miller oversaw the Volvo Ocean Race stopover in Baltimore/Annapolis, where he planned the site design, worked with government and Depart of Public Works officials, coordinated haul outs and repairs for the racing fleet, and organized the departure “Parade of Sail.”
