Marine Mover – Daly joins staff of International Yacht Restoration School
NEWPORT, R.I. – Susan Daly has joined the staff of the International Yacht Restoration School of Newport as director of Development and Marketing for the restoration of the 133-foot, 1885 schooner-yacht Coronet, IYRS said in a recent press release.
“Susan has the important eclectic skill-set and intellect to partner with project director and IYRS co-founder Elizabeth Meyer and return this maritime treasure to the water. Her project management skills will serve her well in this major restoration,” said Terry Nathan, president of IYRS.
The schooner will be the centerpiece project of IYRS, which draws students from all over the globe to its Newport campus. The restoration work on the 133-foot Coronet will be done by master shipwrights and advanced IYRS students, working in public view on IYRS’s 2.5-acre waterfront campus, according to the school.
