Sea Tow CEO pays tribute to Ronald Reagan
SOUTHOLD, N.Y. – Captain Joe Frohnhoefer, chairman and CEO of Sea Tow Services International, Inc., has recognized the contribution of former president Ronald Regan to the marine industry.
He issued the following statement today regarding the passing this weekend of Reagan, the 40th president of the United States.
“President Reagan’s impact on our industry is immeasurable,” Frohnhoefer said. “His initiative for privatizing the United States Coast Guard held true to his philosophy that the employment of private firms would reduce the government’s cost and enable them to focus on issues of greater national concern.
“By relieving the Coast Guard of non-emergency rescue responsibilities, he opened the door for marine assistance companies like Sea Tow to come into being. He was a true leader and a visionary. Our hearts, and our deepest gratitude, go out to the entire Reagan family.”
