Marine Mover – West Marine appoints Greene to its board of directors

WATSONVILLE, Calif. – Boating supplies retailer West Marine, Inc. (Nasdaq: WMAR) has appointed a new director – Diane Greene of Palo Alto, Calif. – to its board of directors, the company said in a recent release.

“Diane brings with her a wealth of entrepreneurial skills along with her extensive boating experience,” John Edmondson, CEO of West Marine, said. “We look forward to the contributions she will make to our board and our company.”

Greene currently serves as executive vice president of EMC Corp. and as president of VM Ware, its subsidiary – which she also co-founded. She is a graduate of M.I.T. and holds a degree in Naval Architecture.
