Marine Mover: National City Corp. names Dealer Finance division leader

CLEVELAND, OHIO – National City Corp. (NYSE:NCC) has named Derek Green head of the Dealer Finance division, which provides auto, marine, motorsports and recreational vehicle financing to dealers and their customers, it reported in a statement today.

Green is also responsible for the continued growth of the Recreation Finance business, which expanded to the national arena in early third quarter 2004.

National City said it will continue to focus on expanding its dealer, retail and floorplan financing service offerings to dealers and manufacturers nationwide. Currently, the National City Dealer Finance portfolio has more than $8 billion in loans outstanding.

In his new role, Green will report to Peter E. Raskind, National City executive vice president and head of Consumer and Small Business Financial Services.

“Derek has extensive experience in banking and management,” Raskind said. Under his leadership, Dealer Finance will continue to be a dynamic growth business for National City, with tremendous potential, as lines such as Recreation Finance expand to support new dealers across the country.”

Most recently Green served as executive vice president and manager of credit services and operations for the National City Small Business Banking division. Previously he was manager of Investor Relations, responsible for maintaining contacts with institutional investors, shareholders and Wall Street analysts, according to the company.

Green succeeds Gregory M. Jelinek, who has been named head of Small Business Banking for National City.
