Marine Movers – Time4 Marine Group merges sales teams

NEW YORK – Time4 Media’s Marine Group will undergo a series of organizational changes affecting the group’s three magazines – Yachting, MotorBoating and Salt Water Sportsman – as the two separate sales teams currently serving these titles will merge, forming a single, cohesive Marine Group team, the company said in a release today.

The three titles will share a common sales force under the new structure. The Marine Group will also consolidate territories, with each sales team member acting as the sole contact in key marine markets, Time4 Media said.

“This move allows us to offer our clients unparalleled exposure in the marine industry,” said John Young, president of Time4 Media’s Marine Group. “It’s about creating tailored programs that provide efficient, targeted buys for advertisers.”

Several staff changes and promotions accompany the reorganization.

Gary De Sanctis has been promoted to vice president of Sales, charged with overseeing all sales staff and initiatives for the three marine titles. Sean O’Leary takes on the new position of Eastern advertising director, and will report directly to De Sanctis.

Andrea Fahy was appointed Western advertising director, also a new position.

Rip Cunningham, publisher and editor-in-chief of Salt Water Sportsman, will retire after 33 years at the helm of the 65-year-old title, and Barry Gibson, presently editor of Salt Water Sportsman, retains his title and day-to-day editorial responsibility for the magazine.
