Marine Mover – Maretron appoints vice president
PHOENIX – Maretron LLC, a supplier of marine electronic instrumentation for recreational and commercial boating, has appointed Larry Anderson as vice president of sales and marketing, the company reported in a recent statement.
He will head the company’s newly opened East Coast office, located in Rockland, Maine, and be responsible for the worldwide sales and marketing of Maretron’s products, the company said.
“With Anderson’s experience within the marine electronics industry, Maretron is demonstrating its commitment to become a significant supplier of marine electronics equipment,” said Maretron president and CEO Richard Gauer. “We couldn’t have been more fortunate than to have obtained such a highly regarded expert in NMEA 2000 technology considering that our core strategy is to be a provider of products specifically designed for NMEA 2000 networking.”
Anderson joins Maretron with 41 years of experience in the marine electronics industry. Most recently, he was standards chairman of the National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA) and led the development of the new NMEA 2000 standard.
