Marine Movers – Mallory Marine names new executives
CLEVELAND – Mallory Marine Products has appointed John Michael Bender vice president of its marine business unit and James H. Self to the position of marine product marketing manager, the company said in a release last week.
Bender will be responsible for overseeing Mallory’s recently announced multi-million dollar expansion in the marine parts market, and Self will be responsible for marketing all of Mallory’s product lines, including those resulting from the expansion.
“Having John on board is an important first step in our expansion plans,” said Peter Venter, executive vice president of Mr. Gasket Performance Group, Inc, Mallory’s parent company. “We have high expectations that under John’s guidance, Mallory will become a major player in the marine parts market.”
Previously, Bender was with Sierra, Inc. where he was general manager of global operations for the company’s outdoor power equipment and marine businesses.
“Jim has been part of our industry for more than 20 years and his vast knowledge will be put to good use as we ramp up our expansion,” Bender said of Self’s appointment.
Self had been with Sierra, Inc. where he was a senior product manager and technical instructor. He is a certified Mercury and Mercruiser technician and is factory trained by Yamaha.
